The 5-Minute Bible Reading Plan And Devotional: Acts

DAY 11 OF 16
Tested Promises
When Paul was in Corinth, the Lord promised He wouldn’t permit anyone to attack and harm him. But after a while, the Jews of Corinth made a major attack against Paul (Acts 18:9–12). What happened to God’s promise? Well, it proved true. Enemies attacked, but couldn’t harm Paul. God will often give you promises as well, and He may allow His promises to be tested. But stand firm, remind the Lord that He gave you specific promises and you’re counting on Him coming through for you—and they won’t fail.
