BUILD Something 

God does NOT want you to fail! If that is true, the opposite of this reads: God wants me to be successful and to be significant! So the question in most people’s mind will be, how can I become successful and significant?

One of the books I am reading lately is the book titled “Born to Build”. I loved the opening liner: *everyone is born into this world to BUILD something. What are we  supposed to be building? For us to build something, we should know what skills or talents we possess.

Look at all great builders: some have built empires, others have built businesses, some others have built palaces, others have built monuments, still others have built legacies that impact lives forever! What are you building!?

Each of us have one or two things we can do extremely well. We need to focus on them and sharpen them so that they can be made so effective that we can be the best possible version of ourselves.

Man is capable of doing only so much. But if we connect ourselves with the Supernatural, we end up doing incredible things, ultimately for His Glory. There is something called the Anointing. When we give what we have in our hands or our lives to the Living God, He takes it and uses this for His Glory. So don’t just do a job. Give your job to the Lord. Give your voice to the Lord. Give your talents to the Lord. Whatever you have, give this to the Lord and He will take it to another level!

Connecting to Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. This could look contradictory to what we have been stating earlier. But no, there are a few things you and I can do extremely well. For the others that do not come naturally to us, we can collaborate with people who have those strengths. This is how we end up playing well as a team. And most of all– involve God into our lives. Then things that are impossible, suddenly becomes possible!

We are here, not just to live 70-80 years, have a family, own a few assets, and pass away. We are here to make an impact, leave a legacy, and build something that will last. Only what is done for Christ will last. Let’s build a legacy!

Let me finish with one of my favorite quotes from George Washington Carver: No individual has any right to come into this world and go out of it without leaving behind him (or her) distinct and legitimate reasons for having passed through it!
