"My Refuge”

SCRIPTURE:

Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV) 

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. “ 

OBSERVATION: When we dwell or live daily in God’s presence, we will see the evidence of His protection. Through prayer, His word and His protection, we gain the strength and faith necessary to face each day. We trust Him because He is with us, and He has proven Himself faithful. We are then able to speak this truth to others, to our storms and to our enemy.  

APPLICATION:

I must dwell in the Word of God and His presence daily. Like the psalmist, I must share God’s truth with others, and proclaim it against the enemy, whether in speaking, in written form or through song. 

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my refuge and my fortress. I thank You for Your word, Your presence, Your faithfulness and Your truth. May I forever dwell in the secret place of Your presence daily. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
