I Have Questions: What Should I Do When I'm Hurting?Sample

PRAY // Do you know that God thinks about you? It’s true. The God who created everything and placed every star in the sky actually has YOU running through His mind constantly. So, you might be thinking, “Of course He does . . . I mess up all the time and He’s thinking about that.” Not exactly. You are on God’s mind because He loves you. In fact, He thinks more highly of you than you think of yourself. Today, ask God what He thinks about you. Ask Him to help you think about yourself with love, grace, and joy—just like He does.
NOTE: If you feel you are in crisis, reach out to a trusted adult, small group leader, coach, teacher, counselor, or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. It is a free, 24-hour hotline, at 1.800.273.TALK (8255).

About this Plan

We all have a tendency to hide things in our lives. And the more serious something is, the more likely we are to keep it hidden. One of those things for many high schoolers is suicidal thoughts. This week, instead of keeping suicidal thoughts hidden, we’ll discover how bringing them to light by telling someone can be the first step toward healing.
