Do Something

Have you ever made a decision knowing it was the wrong one? Maybe you were afraid of what would happen if you did the right thing. Doing the right thing isn’t always easy. We worry about losing friends or what people may say or think about us. We ask ourselves, Why should I do the right thing? No one else does! Why not do what’s easy?

We choose to do the right thing because God loves us and knows what’s best for us.

Daniel wanted to please God, so Daniel prayed three times each day. Other men who Daniel worked with were jealous of him because the king favored Daniel. They also knew Daniel served God above the king, so the jealous men tricked the king into signing a law they knew Daniel would break. And to break this law would mean Daniel would be thrown into a den of hungry lions, where he was sure to become their dinner.

Daniel didn’t allow a fear of the lion’s den to interfere with his daily time with God. Wow, he was committed to do the right thing in the eyes of the Lord! God would take care of Daniel because he knew God was his strength and his protection. Daniel put his trust in Him, and God saved him!

Hold on to what is right in God’s eyes. Live by His Word.
