ANGELS In a world that values things it can see and touch, it is easy to overlook the fact that God has provided angels for our protection. While we may not recognize them, they are there. There are plenty of examples of appearances of angels in the Bible: Daniel in the lion's den (Dan. 6:22), Jesus in the wilderness (Mark 1:12-13), Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:43), and Paul on board a ship in a storm (Acts 27:23). We are told that the angels in heaven rejoice when a sinner is converted (Luke 15:7, 10). We are even told that our children have angels in heaven that see the face of God (Matt. 18:10). What a huge encouragement for parents! One day in heaven we will learn of the things angels have done for our families, but until then, we can trust that they are interceding on our behalf.
