Life In The Kingdom

DAY 5 OF 45

A New Identity

We are the righteousness of God. No longer a sinner but a saint. Therefore, we do not say, “I am a sinner saved by grace.” Instead we confess, “I was a sinner saved by grace.” We were sinners before grace but now saints because of grace.

The Heavenly Father loves to and longs to call us His sons and daughters, and saints. But the father of lies condemns and calls us unworthy sinners and orphans. If we were still sinners after accepting Christ, then God is an unforgiving God. On that cross Jesus became sin because of us. The Father turned away from Jesus and turned toward us. The Heavenly Father takes no joy in calling His children, sinners!

3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:3-4)

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I call You my Father as You call me Your child. You are the Father of truth and as Your sons and daughters, we carry your name and your goodness that rebukes the lies of the enemy. We are no longer sinners. We are saints. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen!
