Paul closes this epistle by praying for God’s grace to guard the believers in Thessalonica. The God of peace will be faithful to complete the work of sanctification in the life of every person who has placed their faith in Christ for forgiveness of sins. As we seek after God, He will slowly transform our spirit, soul, and body so that each day we are a little more like Jesus.

If you look back over your life since you started following Christ, you will see how your life has changed. Your desires are less selfish. Your interests are elevated to the eternal, and your love for others has expanded. Yes, there is still work to be done in our lives, but God will be faithful to finish the transformation He has already begun in your heart and mind. Offer God your all each day and trust that He is helping you to overcome.

Faithful God, I want to be more like Jesus. I offer you every part of my life and invite You to transform me. Amen.
