A Moment With God

DAY 2 OF 61

TRUST WHOLEHEARTEDLY

It is easy to say we believe in someone until we are called upon to put that belief into practice. When we trust someone, we must be confident that they can handle our life situations with care.

In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will set your paths straight.

When we are called to trust the Lord, very often, we trust Him, but there are times when we take it back. The writer says: Trust the Lord with all your heart, without reservation, hesitation or doubt. We need to wholeheartedly trust Him.

Once we give it into the Lord’s hand, let us not take it away from Him. Let us leave it there. Let us not lean on our own understanding. Let us not use our intelligence or our skills to interpret God’s way of working in our lives or even to fulfil Gods purposes.

Abraham did it and he was a failure.

Moses did it and so did Peter.

Sometimes we don’t understand what God is doing, but let us trust God’s Word that when he starts doing something in our lives, he will do it well.

Trust has three components:

  • Relying on Him

  • Resting in Him

  • Rejoicing in Him

To trust is to stay calm and peaceful knowing that our Lord is at work and there is nothing for us to worry about.

Whatever be the challenges we face, a particular need we are praying for or an anxiety we face in waiting, the best time for the Lord to answer is the time when he answers.

When we trust that He always gives His best, we will devote our heart to whatever assignment God gives because we know that on that road we can experience everything God has in his heart for us.

Satan knows and therefore tries to keep us busy not wanting us to think about our problem. When the time nears, he opens the gates of fear, uncertainty, praise and anguish that you will be impatient and do things on your own. When we trust God, let us not consult Satan.

Let us be strengthened and encouraged. Trusting God and spending time alone with Him is always good, for someone who has spent time alone with God has never gone away disappointed or discouraged.

We are human; there are needs. But, let us turn it over to the Lord for we have a mighty God, a prayer-answering God, a God who understands our deepest needs. When we rest under the Saviour’s touch, we have nothing to worry about; no fear, no uncertainty or anguish.

To TRUST is to Rest Under the Saviour’s Touch.
