If you are asked to make your bed and tidy your room, what do you say? (Be honest!)
· Do I have to?
· Why should I?
· It’s not fair. My friends don’t have to tidy their rooms.
· I’ll do it now.
· I suppose I could do it later if I have to.
Read Philippians chapter 2, verses 12 to 16, if you haven’t already done so.
What does Paul say? (Verse 14 will help.)
Do everything without whispering or shouting.
Do everything without laughing or joking.
Do everything without complaining or arguing.
Read verse 15 again. Imagine a picture – or draw one – that shows what this verse tells us to be.
Pray. Find a torch and shine it on a wall or ceiling. Look at the light on the wall and think about what it means to shine for Jesus.
