Together - Daily DevotionalSample

Closer
The theme of our 2017 Conference was “CLOSER”. And no matter how close your relationship with God you can be closer still. So how do we come closer to God? Of course there is prayer, reading the word of God and fellowship with other believers which are all important. Initially we come closer to God by choosing to follow Jesus and accept that His death on the cross broke down the wall of sinful separation between us and a holy God. But in this devotional we are thinking not of theological access but the closeness of an intimate friend. As we develop an intimacy with our companion and friend, the Holy Spirit, so He will help us draw into an ever closer intimacy with our Father God and His Son Jesus.
Note the amazing words of our Key Verse: we may come closer to God the Father because of the Holy Spirit’s help! God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit unite together to draw us ever closer to Himself. In part, this happens as we allow the Holy Spirit to remove a veil from our hearts so we see the Lord “face to face” (2 Cor.3:15-18).
Prayer: Holy Spirit, I desire an ever closer relationship with You for I know that means an ever closer intimacy with my Father and Saviour
About this Plan
