The good news is God will never give up on us!

As I look back over my life and ministry I am grieved to see how many times I failed the Lord yet He never gave up on me. Time and time again He redeemed my mistakes—turning them into material for ministry—and forgave my sinful failures. He would have been well justified in washing His hands of me but He never did. Instead He picked me up, dusted me off, and put me back in His service. Well did the apostle Paul say, “There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears” (Philippians 1:6 MSG). Don’t despair no matter how miserably you have failed. God will never give up on you!

Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your determined persistence in conforming me to Your own image. Because You never gave up on me I am finally becoming who You have called me to be. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
