One Thought, One Prayer, One Scripture

The good news begins with the birth of Jesus! “‘For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord’” (Luke 2:11 ESV).

Sin—our sins—separated us from God; built an impregnable wall cutting us off from Him. There was nothing we could do. We could not climb over that wall for it was too tall. Neither could we tunnel through it for it was impenetrable. We were truly cut off from God!

But because we could not go to God, He came to us in the person of Jesus Christ. He became one of us! “For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people” (Hebrews 2:17 NIV 1984).

He is our only hope! Believe in Him and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-13).

Lord Jesus, thank You for becoming the son of man that we might become the sons of God. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
