1,000,000 Chapters Sample

CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve just read a whole book of the Bible!
Did you know that more than half of adults (58%) wish they read the Bible more often? However, out of the same group of people, two-thirds of them (67%) say their level of Bible-reading is about the same as it was one year ago. (Barna research - https://www.barna.com/research/state-bible-2017-top-findings/) You are no longer a part of the people who just wish they read the Bible more. You are someone who has a plan and you are following. Keep up the great work!
If you want more resources on these letters and how to read the Bible go to parkviewchurch.com/1million. o Jesus is and what He accomplished.
The next readings in this plan are three letters (also called epistles) called 1, 2, and 3 John. These letters are written by an early follower of Jesus named John. Most likely this is the same John who wrote The Gospel of John that you just read. John is writing to a group of house churches that he is overseeing. There has been a crisis among the house churches. The crisis seems to be that there is a group of people who are claiming false things about Jesus and are trying to convince His other followers to believe their lies.

About this Plan

There is nothing that equips or invites the Church to live like Jesus more than reading the Bible. The pages of the Bible capture God’s story and lead those who dare to read it to live out His story for today. That’s why Parkview is making the challenge to our church to collectively read 1,000,000 chapters of the Bible together. Will you join us on the journey?
