Fasting

In His most familiar prayer, Jesus uttered a four-word "dangerous prayer:" "Your will be done" (Matthew 6:10). It takes trust in God's goodness and faithfulness to pray for His will in our lives. I want to invite you to have the same heart and desire as Jesus and to follow His lead in these four words: "Your will be done."

Dangerous Prayers

Fasting is not starvation or an involuntary absence of food; it is abstaining from food for spiritual reasons. Fasting is not a hunger strike, and it is not a diet—a diet focuses on helping you lose weight, while fasting draws you closer to God. This is a great devotional use as you fast. 

Fast Forward

At the start and middle of the year, we gather together to pray and fast so we can continue hearing from God and align to His will. God calls us into a greater desire for His Word so it may nurture, nourish, sustain, ignite, and bear fruit in our lives.
