In His most familiar prayer, Jesus uttered a four-word "dangerous prayer:" "Your will be done" (Matthew 6:10). It takes trust in God's goodness and faithfulness to pray for His will in our lives. I want to invite you to have the same heart and desire as Jesus and to follow His lead in these four words: "Your will be done."

Dangerous Prayers

Fasting is not starvation or an involuntary absence of food; it is abstaining from food for spiritual reasons. Fasting is not a hunger strike, and it is not a diet—a diet focuses on helping you lose weight, while fasting draws you closer to God. This is a great devotional use as you fast.

In this spiritual journey, we will focus on the theme "Alive in Culture".

This theme invites us to live as light and salt in a world with an ever-changing culture and its challenges. Nevertheless, the church of God must steadfastly proclaim God’s unchanging love and truth.

Through the prayers and reflections in this guidebook, I invite us to live out our faith in a relevant and impactful way for our surroundings, while becoming more sensitive to God’s will in this increasingly complex world.

21 Days Prayer & Fasting "Alive in Culture"

When we look at Scripture, we see many helpful practices from the Way of Jesus that God is inviting us to lean into so that He might renovate our lives (mind, body, and spirit) from the inside out. In this reading plan, we will examine how the discipline of fasting (accompanied by prayer) is often used by God to bring about healing in the broken places of our lives.
