Aʼ Scriptur is wiʼ the breath oʼ God, and is oʼ profit for teachin, for convincin, for correctin, for trainin in godliness: In order that the man oʼ God may be perfete, weel‐fettlʼt for ilka gude wark.

But oʼ this tak ye tent, that iʼ the last days fearsome times wull come. For men wull be lovers oʼ their sels, lovers oʼ siller, boastfuʼ, prood, miscaʼers, undutifuʼ to parents, thankless, unholie. Wantin proper affection, twafauld, slanderers, unrestrained, harsh, haters oʼ the just, Fause anes, reckless, ram‐stam, lovers oʼ pleasur mair nor lovers oʼ God, Mainteenin a shadow oʼ godliness, but castin awa its pooer; frae aʼ thir turn ye awa!
