And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high.”

Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee

And their eyes were opened and they recognized him; and he vanished out of their sight. They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the scriptures?”

and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body.
