Prayer in Difficult Times

1God, You have rejected us;
You have broken out # Lit have burst through against us;
You have been angry. Restore us! # Or Turn back to us # Ps 44:9,23; 79:5
2You have shaken the land and split it open.
Heal its fissures, for it shudders. # Ps 18:7
3You have made Your people suffer hardship;
You have given us wine to drink

4You have given a signal flag to those who fear You,
so that they can flee before the archers. # Or can rally before the archers, or can rally because of the truth # Is 5:26; 11:12; 13:2Selah
5Save with Your right hand, and answer me,

6God has spoken in His sanctuary: # Or has promised by His holy nature

I will apportion the Valley of Succoth. # Gn 33:17
7Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine,

Judah is My scepter. # Gn 49:10

I throw My sandal on Edom; # 2Sm 8:14
I shout in triumph over Philistia.” # 2Sm 8:1
9Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom? # Jr 1:18
10God, haven’t You rejected us?
God, You do not march out with our armies. # Ps 44:9
11Give us aid against the foe,
for human help is worthless. # Ps 146:3
12With God we will perform valiantly; # Nm 24:18; Ps 44:5; 118:15-16
He will trample our foes. # Ps 108:6-13
