Deliverance in Battle

1May Yahweh answer you in a day of trouble; # Ps 50:15; 77:2; 102:2

may the name of Jacob’s God protect you. # Ps 46:7,11

2May He send you help from the sanctuary

and sustain you from Zion. # Ps 3:4; 110:2; 128:5

3May He remember all your offerings

and accept your burnt offering. # Ps 119:108Selah

4May He give you what your heart desires # Ps 21:2; 145:19

and fulfill your whole purpose. # Ps 138:8

5Let us shout for joy at your victory # Ps 21:1

and lift the banner in the name of our God. # Is 13:2

May Yahweh fulfill all your requests. # Ps 21:2; 1Pt 3:12

6Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His anointed; # Ps 18:50

He will answer him from His holy heaven

with mighty victories from # Some Hb mss, Aq, Sym, Jer, Syr read with the victorious might of His right hand. # Ps 44:3; 98:1; 118:15

7Some take pride in chariots, and others in horses,

but we take pride in the name of Yahweh our God. # Ps 33:17; Is 31:1

8They collapse and fall,

but we rise and stand firm. # Is 2:11,17; Mc 7:8

9Lord, give victory to the king! # Ps 18:50

May He # Or Lord, save. May the king answer us on the day that we call.
