Series Description:
What if your best days aren’t behind you—but ahead of you?

As we step into a new year, we set goals, make plans, and dream about what’s next. But what if our highest vision isn’t for this life… but the next? In this six-part series, Heaven, we’ll lift our eyes beyond the here and now and rediscover the hope, clarity, and purpose that come from a bigger view of eternity.

So much of what we believe about heaven has been shaped by culture—songs, movies, and clichés that leave it vague, boring, or distant. But the Bible paints a far better picture. Heaven is not wishful thinking. It’s real, personal, purposeful, and more meaningful than we’ve imagined.

Over the next six weeks, we’ll explore what Scripture actually says about heaven. We’ll wrestle with questions like:
- What will heaven really be like?
- Will we recognize one another?
- What will we do there?
- Why does heaven matter right now?

This series is an invitation to stop counting the days behind us and start living in light of the days ahead.
Message Description:
Most people have strong opinions about heaven — but very few know what the Bible actually says.

This Sunday at Real Life, we’re opening Scripture to answer the questions we all ask but rarely get clear answers to:
- What really happens when you die?
- Is heaven immediate — or something later?
- Is heaven spiritual, physical, or both?
- Why understanding heaven should change how we live on earth right now

This message isn’t meant to be strange or spooky — it’s meant to be hope-filled, grounding, and life-changing.

What if being deeply moved by heaven is exactly what God wants to use to change how we live on earth?

Heaven isn’t just real.
It’s closer — and better — than most of us think.

Key words: Heaven, Hope, Vision, Joy, God’s presence, Eternity, Death
Be so moved by HEAVEN THAT YOU WILL CHANGE EARTH.
Paul wants us to KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE!
What happens when you die?
WE GO TO THE NEW EARTH BY THE WAY OF THE PRESENT HEAVEN!
IF THE PRESENT HEAVEN is “UP THERE” then the FUTURE HEAVEN… “DOWN HERE!”
QUESTION: Will we remain conscious after death?
WE ARE CONSCIOUS & MORE ALIVE THAN EVER!
QUESTION: What happens first?
Judgment not to determine good vs bad, but a judgment of faith.
QUESTION: IS HEAVEN A PHYSICAL PLACE?
STOP THINKING OF HEAVEN AND EARTH AS OPPOSITES!
Paradise: “Enclosed garden”
God is not done with EDEN… IF HE MOVED THE TREE, why not Eden itself?
QUESTION: Do we have bodies?
Let’s be the church that lives with heaven in mind and be a bold church to the things of this world!
TALK IT OVER

1. “What Do I Really Believe About Heaven?”
When you hear the word heaven, what emotions surface first—excitement, confusion, indifference, fear?
-How honest would you say your current belief about heaven really is?

2. “Has Heaven Lost Its Wonder for Me?”
Paul describes heaven as so real and overwhelming that words fail him (2 Corinthians 12:1–4).
-Where do you think the wonder of heaven has faded in your own faith journey—and why?

3. “Jesus and Heaven: A Package Deal”
The message said we can’t have heaven without Jesus—or Jesus without heaven.
-How has your view of Jesus shaped (or limited) your view of heaven?
-Which one do you think you’ve focused on more—and what has that produced in you?

4. “No Longer Ignorant, But Still Quiet?”
Paul says we are not meant to be ignorant about what happens when we die (1 Thessalonians 4).
-If heaven is truly hopeful, real, and good—what do you think keeps us from talking about it more openly?

5. “If Heaven Is That Real, Why Does Earth Feel Louder?”
The Bible describes heaven as conscious, joyful, and personal—present with the Lord.
-What earthly pressures, distractions, or disappointments are currently louder than heaven in your life?

6. “How Would Heaven Change My Everyday Choices?”
The prayer of this message was that being moved by heaven would change how we live on earth.
-If you truly believed heaven was closer and more real than you feel right now, what might change:
-in your priorities?
-in your generosity?
-in your courage?

7. “Who Am I Afraid to Tell?”
If heaven is real—and not everyone is going there—this becomes deeply personal.
-Who is one person God keeps bringing to your heart that you’ve avoided spiritual conversations with?
-What fear is underneath that hesitation?

8. “What Would Bold Faith Look Like This Week?”
Jesus followers are called to live with heaven in mind and courage in their voice.
-What is one small but real step you could take this week to live—and speak—like heaven is truly your home?
