Preparing for OutpouringSample

Be Baptized with the Holy Spirit
Imagine the disciples eating a final meal with Jesus before He ascended back to heaven. How many questions they must have wanted to ask Him, still in awe of His resurrection. He had told them before His death that it would be better that He goes, that the Holy Spirit, who is the Helper, would come (John 16:7). Jesus now shares that the culmination of the long-awaited promise that God would "put a new spirit" within them would soon come to pass! (Ez. 36:26). They will receive a new baptism, not just with water, but with God's very own Spirit! He would make His home within them and give them power for the greater works.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the promise of Your Holy Spirit, Who is the Helper, Advocate, and Guide. We open our hearts to receive the promise of Your Spirit to come fill us today. We confess our need for Your help, power, grace, and wisdom. Please come and baptize us with the Holy Spirit to live the life you died and resurrected to give us all. Amen.
Reflection:
- What is a time when I felt the anticipation of a good thing coming? What was that like?
- In what areas of my life am I desiring the Holy Spirit to touch?

About this Plan

Welcome to Preparing for Outpouring – A 10-Day Journey Toward Pentecost. No matter where you are in your faith—seasoned believer or just beginning to explore—this journey is for you. Each day offers space to slow down, reflect, and make room for the Holy Spirit. Scripture says Jesus gives “the Spirit without limit” (John 3:34), and He’s still pouring out His presence on all who are willing to receive.
