Revelation 19

19
Heaven’s Threefold Praise
1 After this, I heard what sounded like a massive crowd in heaven shouting:
“Praise the Lord!
Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God,
2 because His judgments are true and just.
He has condemned the corrupt system
that polluted the earth with immorality,
and He has avenged the blood of His servants.”
3 Once more they shouted:
“Praise the Lord!
The smoke of her destruction rises forever.”
4 The twenty-four elders and the four living beings fell down and worshipped God, saying:
“Amen! Praise the Lord!”
5 Then a voice came from the throne:
“Praise our God, all His servants—
all who fear Him, great and small alike!”
6 I heard what sounded like a vast multitude, like rushing waters and powerful thunder:
“Praise the Lord!
For the Lord God Almighty reigns!
7 Let us celebrate and give Him glory,
for the wedding of the Lamb has arrived,
and His bride has prepared herself.”
8 She was given pure, bright linen to wear—
the linen symbolizing the righteous acts of God’s people.
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb
9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this down: Blessed are those invited to the Lamb’s wedding feast.” He added, “These are the trustworthy words of God.”
10 I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said, “Stop! I am a fellow servant with you. Worship God alone. The witness of Jesus is the heart of prophecy.”
Christ the Victorious Warrior
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. Its rider is called Faithful and True, and He judges and wages war in righteousness.
12 His eyes burn like fire, and many crowns rest upon His head. He bears a name known only to Himself.
13 He is clothed in a robe soaked in blood, and His name is called the Word of God.
14 The armies of heaven follow Him, riding white horses and wearing clean, bright linen.
15 A sharp sword comes from His mouth, by which He subdues the nations. He rules them with unyielding authority and executes the wrath of God Almighty.
16 On His robe and on His thigh is written:
“King of kings and Lord of lords.”
The Final Battle and Judgment
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, calling loudly to the birds flying in the midair: “Come, gather for the great feast of God,
18 to consume the flesh of the kings, generals, mighty warriors, and all people, whether free or enslaved.”
19 I saw the beast, the rulers of the earth, and their armies assembled to wage war against the rider on the horse and His army.
20 The beast was captured, along with the false prophet who had carried out miraculous signs in the beast’s presence—signs through which he deceived those who had accepted the beast’s mark and given allegiance to its image. Both were thrown alive into the lake of fire, a place of burning sulfur.
21 The remaining forces were destroyed by the sword from Christ’s mouth, and the birds were filled with their flesh.
