Titus 2
2
Teaching Sound Doctrine
1 But you, speak the things that are consistent with sound teaching.* 2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, in endurance. 3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behaviour, not slanderous, not enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, 4 so that they may instruct the young women* to love their husbands, to love their children,* 5 to be self-controlled, pure, workers at home, good, subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God* may not be maligned.
6 Likewise, exhort the younger men* to be of sound judgment; 7 in all things show yourself as an example of good deeds, in your* teaching, demonstrating* integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that is beyond reproach, so that the opponent* may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.
9 Slaves must be submissive to their own masters in every way, to be well-pleasing, not to be disputatious, 10 not stealing, but demonstrating all good faith, so that they may adorn the teaching about God our Saviour in everything.
The Instructing Grace
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,* 12 instructing* us, so that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we may live self-controlled and righteously and godly in the present age, 13 waiting for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a special people, zealous for good deeds.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.
