Titus 3

3
CHAPTER THREE
1Remind them to be subject to rulers, and to obey authorities, and to be ready for every good work; #1 Pet. 2:13; Col. 1:10; Heb. 13:21
2Not to speak evil of anyone, not to be contentious, but gentle, showing all meekness toward all men. #Eph. 4:2, 31; Phil. 4:5; Col. 3:12; 2 Tim. 2:24
3For we also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving all kinds of lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. #1 Pet. 4:3; 1 Cor. 6:11
4But when the graciousness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, #1 Tim. 2:3; Tit. 2:11
5Not by works of righteousness which we practiced, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit, #1 Pet. 3:21; Rom. 3:20; Eph. 5:26; 2 Tim. 1:9
6Which He richly poured out upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior; #Ezek. 36:25; Joel 2:28
7So that, having been justified by His grace, we would become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. #Rom. 3:24, 8:23; Tit. 1:2
8This is a faithful saying, and I desire you to strongly affirm all these things, so that those who have believed God may apply themselves to doing good works. These things are good and profitable for men. #1 Tim. 1:15; Tit. 2:14
9But avoid foolish questions and genealogies, and debates and quarrels about law, for they are unprofitable and vain. #1 Tim. 1:4; 2 Tim. 2:14
10After the first and second admonition, reject a man who is teaching heresy, #Mat. 18:17; 2 Cor. 13:2
11Knowing that such a person has been subverted and is sinning, being condemned by his own words.
12When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, make haste to come to me at Nicopolis; for I have decided to spend the winter there. #Acts 20:4
13Be diligent to equip Zenas the lawyer and Apollos for their journey, so that they may lack nothing. #Acts 18:24
14And let our brethren also learn to devote themselves to good works for services that are needed, so that they may not be unfruitful. #Rom. 15:28; Phil. 1:11; Tit. 3:8
15All of those with me salute you. Salute those who love us in the faith. Grace be with all of you. Amen.
