PSALM ONE HUNDRED-FORTY-NINE
1O praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints. #Isa. 42:10; Psa. 33:3
2Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. #Isa. 54:5; Zech. 9:9; Psa. 100:3; Job 35:10; Mat. 21:5
3Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praises to Him with the drum and lyre, #Psa. 81:2
4For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He crowns the meek with salvation. #Psa. 35:27, 132:16
5Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud upon their beds. #Job 35:10
6Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand #Heb. 4:12; Rev. 1:16
7To execute vengeance upon the nations and punishments upon the people,
8To bind their kings with chains and their nobles with iron bands,
9To carry out upon them the judgment written—this honor have all His saints. O praise the Lord! #Deut. 7:1-2; Psa. 148:14
