Psalms 126
126
PSALM ONE HUNDRED-TWENTY-SIX
A Song of degrees.
1When the Lord brought back the exiles, those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream. #Hos. 6:11; Joel 3:1; Psa. 53:6, 85:1; Acts 12:9
2Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things with them.” #Job 8:21
3The Lord did great things for us and we are glad.
4Turn back our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
5Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. #Jer. 31:9
6He who goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come home with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
