Jeremiah 36

CHAPTER 36
1And it was done, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word was made of the Lord to Jeremy, and said,
2Take thou the volume of a book, and thou shalt write therein all the words, which I spake to thee against Israel and Judah, and against all folks, from the day in which I spake to thee, from the days of Josiah unto this day.
3If peradventure when the house of Judah heareth all the evils which I think to do to them, each man turn again from his worst way, and I shall be merciful to the wickedness and sin of them.
4Therefore Jeremy called Baruch, the son of Neriah; and Baruch wrote of the mouth of Jeremy in the volume of a book all the words of the Lord, which he spake to him.
5And Jeremy commanded to Baruch, and said, I am enclosed, and I may not enter into the house of the Lord.
6Therefore enter thou, and read of the book, in which thou hast written of my mouth the words of the Lord, in hearing of the people, in the house of the Lord, in the day of fasting; furthermore and in hearing of all Judah, that come from their cities, thou shalt read to them;
7if peradventure the prayer of them fall in the sight of the Lord, and each man turn again from his worst way; for why the strong vengeance and indignation is great, which the Lord spake against this people.
8And Baruch, the son of Neriah, did after all things, which Jeremy, the prophet, commanded to him; and he read of the book the words of the Lord, in the house of the Lord.
9Forsooth it was done, in the fifth year of Jehoiakim, son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, they preached fasting in the sight of the Lord, to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the multitude, that came together from the cities of Judah into Jerusalem.
10And Baruch read of the volume the words of Jeremy, in the house of the Lord, in the treasury of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, scribe, in the higher porch, in the entering of the new gate of the house of the Lord, in audience of all the people.
11And when Michaiah, the son of Gemariah, son of Shaphan, had heard all the words of the Lord, of the book,
12he went down into the house of the king, to the treasury of the scribe. And lo! all the princes sat there, Elishama, the scribe, and Delaiah, the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan, the son of Achbor, and Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah, the son of Hananiah, and all [the] princes.
13And Michaiah told to them all the words, which he heard Baruch reading of the book, in the ears of the people.
14Therefore all the princes sent to Baruch Jehudi, the son of Nethaniah, son of Shelemiah, son of Cushi, and said, Take in thine hand the book, of which thou readest in audience of the people, and come thou. Therefore Baruch, the son of Neriah, took the book in his hand, and came to them.
15And they said to him, Sit thou, and read these things in our ears; and Baruch read in the ears of them.
16Therefore when they had heard all the words, they wondered each man to his neighbour, and they said to Baruch, Ought we to tell to the king all these words?
17And they asked him, and said, Show thou to us, how thou hast written all these words of his mouth.
18Forsooth Baruch said to them, Of his mouth he spake, as reading to me, all these words; and I wrote in a book with ink.
19And all the princes said to Baruch, Go, be thou hid, thou and Jeremy; and no man know where ye be.
20And they entered to the king, into the hall; forsooth they betook the book to be kept into the treasury of Elishama, the scribe. And they told all the words, in audience of the king.
21Therefore the king sent Jehudi, that he should take the book. Which took the book from the treasury of Elishama, the scribe, and read in audience of the king, and of all the princes that stood about the king.
22Forsooth the king sat in the winter house, in the ninth month; and a pan full of coals was set before him.
23And when Jehudi had read three pages, either four, he cutted it with the knife of a scribe, and casted into the fire, that was in the pan, till all the book was wasted by the fire, that was in the pan.
24And the king, and all his servants, that heard all these words, dreaded not, neither rent their clothes.
25Nevertheless Elnathan, and Delaiah, and Gemariah against-said [to] the king, that he should not burn the book; and he heard not them.
26And the king commanded to Jerahmeel, son of Hammelech, and to Seraiah, son of Azriel, and to Shelem-iah, son of Abdeel, that they should take Baruch, the writer, and Jeremy, the prophet; forsooth the Lord hid them.
27And the word of the Lord was made to Jeremy, the prophet, after that the king had burnt the book, and [the] words, which Baruch had written of Jeremy’s mouth; and he said,
28Again take thou another book, and write therein all the former words, that were in the first book, which Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, burnt.
29And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim, king of Judah, The Lord saith these things, Thou burntest that book, and saidest, What hast thou written therein, telling, The king of Babylon shall come hasting, and shall destroy this land, and shall make man and beast to cease thereof?
30Therefore the Lord saith these things against Jehoiakim, king of Judah, None there shall be of him, that shall sit on the seat of David; and his carrion shall be cast forth to the heat by day, and to the frost by night.
31And I shall visit against him, and against his seed, and against his servants, their wickednesses. And I shall bring on them, and on the dwellers of Jerusalem, and on the men of Judah, all the evil which I spake to them, and they heard not.
32Forsooth Jeremy took another book, and gave it to Baruch, the writer, the son of Neriah, which wrote therein of Jeremy’s mouth all the words of the book, which book Jehoiakim, king of Judah, had burnt by fire; and furthermore many more words were added than were before.

Jeremià 36
36
Nodoran’i Jôiakima ny horonan-taratasy nosoratan’i Baròka
1Tamin’ny taona fahefatra nanjakàn’i Jôiakima zanakalahin’i Josià sady mpanjakan’i Joda#36.1 Taona fahefatra nanjakàn’i Jôiakima: jereo 22.13; 25.1 sy nta., no tonga tamin’i Jeremià izao teny avy tamin’ny TOMPO izao nanao hoe: 2«Makà horonan-taratasy ianao, ka soraty ao ny hafatra rehetra izay nampitondraiko anao ny amin’ny fanjakan’i Israely sy ny fanjakan’i Joda ary ireo firenen-kafa rehetra, hatreo amin’ny andron’i Josià fony Aho vao nanomboka niteny taminao ka mandraka androany. 3Angamba hahatakatra ny fikasàko handefa loza aminy ny olon’i Joda, ka samy hiala amin’ny fitondrantena ratsiny, dia havelako ny heloka amam-pahotany.»
4Dia niantso an’i Baròka zanakalahin’i Nerià i Jeremià, ka nanonona taminy ny hafatra rehetra izay nampitondrain’ny TOMPO azy; ary nosoratan’i Baròka tamin’ny horonan-taratasy ireny.
5Avy eo dia nandidy an’i Baròka i Jeremià hoe: «Sakanana tsy hiditra ao an-tranon’ny TOMPO aho, ka tsy afaka mankany ny tenako. 6Fa ianao kosa, mankanesa ao amin’ny andron’ny fifadian-kanina, dia vakio mafy ao ny hafatry ny TOMPO izay efa notononiko ka efa voasoratrao, ary ataovy ren’ny olona ao amin’ny tempoly mbamin’izay rehetra tonga avy amin’ireo tanànan’i Joda izany. 7Angamba hamboraka fifonana amin’ny TOMPO izy ary hiala amin’ny fitondrantena ratsy; satria efa nilaza ny TOMPO fa tena tezitra sy vinitra tamin’ity vahoaka ity.»
8Dia nataon’i Baròka izay rehetra nandidian’i Jeremià mpaminany azy, ka nankao an-tranon’ny TOMPO izy ary namaky mafy ny hafatry ny TOMPO voasoratra tao amin’ny horonan-taratasy. 9Tamin’ny volana fahasivy, taona fahadimy nanjakàn’i Jôiakima, zanakalahin’i Josià sady mpanjakan’i Joda#36.9 Ny volana fahasivy dia mifanandrify amin’ny volana Nôvambra na Desambra, ka fotoanan’ny hatsiaka any Palestinina (jereo and 22 sy ny FTS amin’ny voambolana hoe FANISANANDRO). , no nisehoan’izany, raha nantsoina hanao fifadian-kanina teo anatrehan’ny TOMPO ny mponina rehetra tao Jerosalema sy ny olona rehetra avy amin’ireo tanànan’i Joda. 10Koa teo imason’ny olona rehetra vory tao an-tranon’ny TOMPO no namakian’i Baròka mafy ny hafatr’i Jeremià voasoratra tao amin’ny horonan-taratasy. Teo amin’ny efitrano natokana ho an’i Gemarià, zanakalahin’i Safàna izay mpitantsora-panjakana taloha, no nakany toerana fa io efitra io dia teo an-kianja ambony, akaikin’ny vavahady vaovao amin’ny tranon’ny TOMPO.
11Nony avy nandre ny tenin’ny TOMPO rehetra izay novakin’i Baròka tao amin’ny horonan-taratasy i Mikaià, zanakalahin’i Gemarià sy zafikelin’i Safàna, 12dia nidina tao an-dapan’ny mpanjaka ary tonga amin’ny biraon’ny mpitantsora-panjakana. Nivory tao avokoa ny mpitondra fanjakana ambony: i Elisamà mpitantsora-panjakana, i Delaià zanakalahin’i Semahià, i Elnatàna zanakalahin’i Hakbôra, i Gemarià zanakalahin’i Safàna, i Tsedekià zanakalahin’i Hananià sy ireo mpitondra fanjakana hafa rehetra. 13Notantarain’i Mikaià azy ny teny rehetra reny avy fony i Baròka namaky mafy teo anatrehan’ny olona rehetra ny hafatra voasoratra tao amin’ny horonan-taratasy.
14Koa naniraka an’i Jehodỳ, zanakalahin’i Netanià sy zafikelin’i Selemià sady zafiafin’i Kosy ireo mpitondra fanjakana ireo mba hiantso an’i Baròka ho tonga ao aminy miaraka amin’ny horonan-taratasy eny am-pelatanany. Dia nentin’i Baròka ny horonan-taratasy ary nankany aminy izy. 15Ary hoy ireo tamin’i Baròka:
–Mipetraha ianao, ary vakio aminay iny horonan-taratasy iny.
Dia novakîny taminy izany. 16Nony ren’ireto mpitondra fanjakana ny teny rehetra, dia nifampijerijery tamin-tahotra izy ka nilaza tamin’i Baròka hoe:
–Tsy maintsy ampitainay amin’ny mpanjaka izany teny rehetra izany.
17Ary nanontany an’i Baròka ireo hoe:
–Mba hazavao aminay ny fomba nanoratanao ireo hafatra rehetra ireo?
18Dia novalian’i Baròka hoe:
–I Jeremià no nanonona tamiko ireo hafatra rehetra ireo, ary izaho kosa no nanoratra azy tamin’ny ranomainty teo amin’ny horonan-taratasy.
19Dia hoy ireo mpitondra fanjakana ambony tamin’i Baròka:
–Mandehàna miafina ianao sy i Jeremià, ka aoka tsy hisy hahalala izay misy anareo!
20Dia navelan’ireo tao amin’ny biraon’i Elisamà mpitantsora-panjakana ny horonan-taratasy fa lasa izy nankeo an-kianjan’ny lapa mba hitantara amin’ny mpanjaka ny zavatra rehetra niseho.
21Dia naniraka an’i Jehodỳ ny mpanjaka mba haka ilay horonan-taratasy tao amin’ny biraon’i Elisamà. Koa nalain’i Jehodỳ ny horonan-taratasy ary novakîny mafy teo anatrehan’ny mpanjaka sy ireo mpitondra fanjakana ambony rehetra izay nipetraka teo anilany. 22Satria volana fahasivy tamin’izay dia nipetraka tao amin’ny trano fandaniany ny ririnina ny mpanjaka, ary nisy afo nirehitra teo am-patana teo anoloany. 23Koa isaky ny mahavaky toko telo na efatra i Jehodỳ, dia notapatapahin’ny mpanjaka tamin’ny antsipîka ireny ka natsipiny tao anaty afo; koa farany dia tapitra may avokoa ny horonan-taratasy manontolo. 24Takatry ny mpanjaka sy ireo manamboninahiny tokoa ny hafatra voasoratra tao amin’ny horonan-taratasy, nefa tsy nampiseho tahotra na mariky ny alahelo akory izy#36.24 mariky ny alahelo na tsy nandriatra ny fitafiany* akory izy.. 25Ary na dia niangavy mafy tamin’ny mpanjaka aza i Elnatàna sy i Delaià ary i Gemarià mba tsy handoroany ny horonan-taratasy, dia tsy nohenoiny; 26fa vao mainka aza nomeny baiko i Jerahimèla, andriana#36.26 andriana na manamboninahitry ny mpiambina. Jereo 38.6; 1 Mp 22.26-27; 2 Tan 28.7. zanakalahin’ny mpanjaka, sy i Seraià zanakalahin’i Hazriela sy i Selemià zanakalahin’i Habdèla mba hisambotra an’i Baròka mpanoratra sy i Jeremià mpaminany; saingy ny TOMPO efa nanafina azy roa lahy.
27Taorian’ny nandoroan’ny mpanjaka ny horonan-taratasy nisy ny hafatra rehetra izay nosoratan’i Baròka avy tamin’ny fanononan’i Jeremià, dia tonga tamin’i Jeremià ny baikon’ny TOMPO nanao hoe:
28«Makà horonan-taratasy iray hafa ianao ka soraty ao ireo hafatra rehetra tamin’ny horonan-taratasy voalohany izay nodoran’i Jôiakima mpanjakan’i Joda. 29Avy eo ny amin’i Jôiakima, mpanjakan’i Joda, dia hataonao hoe: ‹Izao no lazain’ny TOMPO: Nosoratan’i Jeremià tamin’ny horonan-taratasy fa tsy maintsy ho avy ny mpanjakan’i Babilôna, ka handrava ity tany ity ary handringana ny olona sy ny biby fiompy eo; kanefa nanakiana azy i Jôiakima sady nandoro ny horonan-taratasy. 30Koa izao no lazaiko ny amin’i Jôiakima mpanjakan’i Joda: Tsy hanana zanakalahy hanjaka handimby azy eo amin’ny sezafiandrianan’i Davida i Jôiakima; ary hariana ny fatiny ka hianjadian’ny hafanana amin’ny antoandro sy ny hatsiaka amin’ny alina#36.30 izany hoe tsy halevina am-pomba manetriketrika; jereo ny naoty momba ny 8.2.. 31Hirotsaka an-tsehatra hamely azy sy ny taranany ary ny manamboninahiny Aho noho ny heloka nataony. Hampihariko aminy sy amin’ny mponina eto Jerosalema ary amin’ny olon’i Joda ny loza rehetra izay efa nambarako taminy nefa tsy nahoany akory.› »
32Dia naka horonan-taratasy iray hafa i Jeremià ka nomeny an’i Baròka, zanakalahin’i Nera sady mpanoratra. Ary nosoratany tao izay notononin’i Jeremià, dia ireo hafatra rehetra izay efa tao amin’ilay boky nodoran’i Jôiakima mpanjakan’i Joda; sady mbola niampy hafatra maro tahaka ireny koa.
