Jeremiah 34

CHAPTER 34
1The word that was made of the Lord to Jeremy, when Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and all his host, and all the realms of [the] earth, that were under the power of his hand, and all peoples fought against Jerusalem, and against all cities thereof; and he said,
2The Lord God of Israel saith these things, Go thou, and speak to Zedekiah, king of Judah; and thou shalt say to him, The Lord saith these things, Lo! I shall betake this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it by fire.
3And thou shalt not escape from his hand, but thou shalt be taken by taking, and thou shalt be betaken into his hand; and thine eyes shall see the eyes of the king of Babylon, and his mouth shall speak with thy mouth, and thou shalt enter into Babylon.
4Nevertheless Zedekiah, the king of Judah, hear thou the word of the Lord; the Lord saith these things to thee, Thou shalt not die by sword,
5but thou shalt die in peace; and by the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings that were before thee, so they shall burn thee, and they shall bewail thee, Woe! lord; for I spake a word, saith the Lord.
6And Jeremy, the prophet, spake to Zedekiah, king of Judah, all these words in Jerusalem.
7And the host of the king of Babylon fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah, that were left; against Lachish, and against Azekah; for why these strong cities were left of the cities of Judah.
8The word that was made of the Lord to Jeremy, after that king Zedekiah smote bond of peace with all the people in Jerusalem, and preached,
9that each man should deliver his servant, and each man his handmaid, an Hebrew man and an Hebrew woman, free, and that they should not be lords of them, that is, in a Jew, and their brother.
10Therefore all the princes and all the people heard, which made covenant, that they should deliver each man his servant, and each man his handmaid, free, and should no more be lords of them; therefore they heard, and delivered;
11and they were turned afterward, and drew again their servants, and handmaids, which they had let go free, and they made them subject into servants, and into servantesses.
12And the word of the Lord was made of the Lord to Jeremy, and said,
13The Lord God of Israel saith these things, I smote a bond of peace with your fathers, in the day in which I led them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of servage; and I said,
14When seven years be [ful] filled, each man deliver his brother, an Hebrew man, which is sold to him, and he shall serve thee six years, and thou shalt deliver him from thee; and your fathers heard not me, neither bowed [in] their ear.
15And ye be converted today, and ye did that, that is rightful [or right] before mine eyes, that ye preached each man freedom to his friend, and ye made covenant in my sight, in the house wherein my name is called to help on that freedom.
16And ye turned again, and defouled my name, and ye brought again each man his servant, and each man his handmaid, which ye delivered, that they should be free, and of their own power; and ye made them subject, that they be servants and handmaids to you.
17Therefore the Lord saith these things, Ye heard not me, that ye preached freedom, each man to his brother, and each man to his friend; lo! I preach to you freedom, saith the Lord, and to sword, and to hunger, and to pestilence; and I shall give you into stirring to all realms of earth.
18And I shall give the men, that brake my bond of peace, and kept not the words of [the] bond of peace, to which they assented in my sight, and kept not the calf which they cutted into two parts;
19and the princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, and the honest servants, and priests went between the partings thereof, and all the people of the land, that went between the partings of the calf;
20and I shall give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life; and the dead carrion of them shall be into meat to the volatiles [or fowls] of the air, and to the beasts of earth.
21And I shall give Zedekiah, the king of Judah, and his princes, into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the hosts of the king of Babylon, that went away from you.
22Lo! I command, saith the Lord, and I shall bring them again into this city; and they shall fight against it, and shall take it, and shall burn it with fire; and I shall give the cities of Judah into wilderness, for there is no dweller.

Jeremià 34

Hafatra ho an’i Jeremià
1Niady tamin’i Jerosalema sy ireo tanànan’i Joda#34.1 Jereo 2 Mp 25.1-11; 2 Mp 36.17-21; ampit Jer 21.2. i Nebokadnetsara mpanjakan’i Babilôna, niaraka taminy ny tafiny rehetra sy ny miaramilan’ny fanjakana rehetra eran-tany mbamin’ny vahoaka rehetra teo ambany fahefàny. Tamin’izany no tonga ho an’i Jeremià avy amin’n TOMPO izao teny manaraka izao:
2«Izaho TOMPO Andriamanitr’i Israely no mandidy anao hankany amin’i Tsedekià mpanjakan’i Joda mba hilaza izao hafatro izao: Hatolotro eo an-tanan’i Nebokadnetsara mpanjakan’i Babilôna ity tanàna ity mba hodorany amin’ny afo. 3Ary tsy ho afa-miala aminy ianao, fa ho azo sambo-belona ka hatolotra azy. Tsy maintsy hifanatri-maso aminy ianao ka hamaly azy mivantana alohan’ny hankanesanao any Babilôna.
4«Kanefa raha mankatò ny teniko ianao, ry Tsedekià mpanjakan’i Joda, dia tsy ho faty an’ady ianao. Izaho TOMPO mihitsy no milaza izany aminao. 5Fa ho faty amim-piadanana aza ianao, ka ny fandevenana anao dia hatao tahaka ny an’ireo razanao izay mpanjaka talohanao: handoran’ny olona zava-manitra ianao sady hanaovany hira fisaonana hoe: ‹Indrisy, ry mpanjaka tompoko!› Izaho TOMPO mihitsy no milaza, ary teny hentitra avy amiko izany!»
6Izany teny rehetra izany no nampitain’i Jeremià tamin’i Tsedekià, mpanjakan’i Joda, tany Jerosalema. 7Tamin’izay fotoana izay ny tafiky ny mpanjakan’i Babilôna dia namely an’i Jerosalema sy ireo tanànamimanda hafa tany Joda izay mbola sisa nijoro, dia i Lakisy sy i Hazekà.
Naverin’ny tompony indray ireo andevo efa nohafahany
8Ary izao indray no teny tonga ho an’i Jeremià avy amin’ny TOMPO. Izany moa dia taorian’ny nanaovan’i Tsedekià mpanjaka sy ny mponina rehetra tao Jerosalema fifanekena ampahibemaso fa samy hanambara ny fahafahan’ny andevony avy. 9Tsy maintsy handefa ny andevony hebreo#34.9 ny andevony hebreo: eto angamba ny resahina dia ireo jiosy izay voatery nitolo-tena ho andevo mba handoavana ny trosany (jereo and 14). na lahy na vavy ho afaka ny olona tsirairay, ka tsy hisy intsony hampanompo ny taranak’i Joda mpiray firenena aminy. 10Ny mpitondra fanjakana rehetra sy ny mponina tao Jerosalema dia samy nandray anjara tamin’izany fifanekena ampahibemaso izany avokoa ary nanaiky tsy hampanompo intsony ireo lehilahy sy vehivavy eo an-tanany, fa samy handefa azy ireny ho afaka. Samy nanaiky izany fifanekena izany avokoa ny olona ka namela ny mpanompony handeha. 11Kanjo niova hevitra izy ireo taorian’izany ka namerina ny lehilahy sy vehivavy nafahany ary nanandevo azy indray.
12Koa tonga tamin’i Jeremià ny teny avy amin’ny TOMPO nanao hoe:
13«Izao no lazain’ny TOMPO Andriamanitr’i Israely: Efa nanao fifanekena tamin’ny razanareo koa Aho fony namoaka azy tany Ejipta izay toerana nanandevozana azy. 14Isaky ny fito taona, hoy Aho taminy, dia aoka ianareo samy handefa ho afaka ireo Hebreo mpiray firenena aminareo, Hebreo izay nitolo-tena ho andevo taminareo ka efa nanompo anareo enin-taona. Tokony havelanareo ho afaka malalaka izy#34.14 Jereo Eks 21.2-3; Deot 15.12-15.. Kanjo ny razanareo tsy nanaiky Ahy, ary tsy nihaino Ahy akory. 15Fa ianareo kosa tato ho ato dia nanao fanapahan-kevitra mifanohitra amin’izany, ary hitako fa nanao izay mahitsy ianareo raha nanambara fanafahana ho an’ny namanareo, sady nanao fifanekena ampahibemaso tao amin’ny trano natokana ho Ahy. 16Kanjo niova hevitra ianareo sady nanao tsinontsinona Ahy, fa samy namerina indray ireo mpanompo lahy sy vavy izay efa nalefanareo handeha ka nanery azy ho andevo indray.»
17Dia hoy ihany i Jeremià hoe: «Noho izany dia izao no lazain’ny TOMPO: Samy tokony ho nanambara fanafahana ho an’ny mpanompony avy ianareo, dia ho an’ny namany sady mpiray firenena aminy; nefa tsy nankatò Ahy ianareo. Koa Izaho TOMPO mihitsy no manambara sy miteny hentitra aminareo fa halefako hamely anareo ny ady sy ny areti-mandringana ary ny mosary; hany ka hataoko mampivarahontsana ianareo any amin’ny fanjakana rehetra eran-tany.
18-19«Ireo manampahefana eto Joda sy i Jerosalema, ireo mpiasam-panjakana ambony, ireo mpisorona ary ireo olona afaka rehetra teo amin’ny tany, dia nivadika ny fifanekena tamiko ka tsy nahatana ny tenin’ny fanekena nataony teo anatrehako fony nosasahana ny ombilahikely ka nandeha namaky teo anivony#34.18 Ny karazan-tsorona toy itony dia natao hanamafisana sy hamatorana ny fifanekena iray (jereo Gen 15.9-18 sy nta). izy. 20Koa hatolotro ho eo an-tanan’ny fahavalo izay mitady hahafaty azy izy; ary ho sakafon’ny voromahery sy ny bibidia ny fatiny. 21I Tsedekià mpanjaka sy ireo mpiasam-panjakana ambony koa dia hatolotro ho eo an-tanan’ny fahavalo izay mitady hahafaty azy, dia ny tafiky ny mpanjakan’i Babilôna. Nisinda nihataka kely#34.21 Momba ny fihatahana kely vetivety nataon’ny tafika babilônianina, jereo 37.5-11. ankehitriny izany tafika izany; 22saingy hasaiko hiverina hanafika ity tanàna ity indray izy, ka hahafaka sy handoro azy. Ary ireo tanànan’i Joda dia hataoko lao tsy hisy mponina; teny hentitra avy amiko TOMPO izany.
