Prescribed Offerings
1The Lord spoke to Moses, 2“Command the Israelites and say to them: Be sure to present to me at its appointed time my offering and my food # 28:2 Lv 3:11,16; 22:25; Nm 28:24 as my food offering, a pleasing aroma to me. # 28:2 Ex 29:18; Lv 1:9; 2:2; 3:5; 8:21; 23:13; Nm 15:3; 18:17; 29:6; Am 5:25 3And say to them: This is the food offering you are to present to the Lord: # 28:3–8 Ex 29:38–41
Daily Offerings
“Each day present two unblemished year-old male lambs as a regular burnt offering. 4Offer one lamb in the morning and the other lamb at twilight, 5along with two quarts # 28:5 Lit one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering mixed with a quart # 28:5 Lit a fourth of a hin, also in v. 7 of olive oil from crushed olives. # 28:5 Ex 27:20; Lv 2:1; 24:2; Nm 15:4 6It is a regular burnt offering established at Mount Sinai for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord. 7The drink offering is to be a quart with each lamb. Pour out the offering of beer to the Lord in the sanctuary area. 8Offer the second lamb at twilight, along with the same kind of grain offering and drink offering as in the morning. It is a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
Sabbath Offerings
9“On the Sabbath day present two unblemished year-old male lambs, four quarts # 28:9 Lit two-tenths (of an ephah), also in vv. 12,20,28 of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and its drink offering. 10It is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering. # 28:10 Ezk 46:4–5
Monthly Offerings
11“At the beginning of each of your months # 28:11 1Sm 20:5; 1Ch 23:31; 2Ch 2:4; Ezr 3:5; Is 1:13–14; Ezk 45:17; 46:6; Hs 2:11; Col 2:16 present a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old — all unblemished — 12with six quarts # 28:12 Lit three-tenths (of an ephah), also in vv. 20,28 of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for each bull, four quarts of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for the ram, 13and two quarts # 28:13 Lit one-tenth (of an ephah), also in vv. 21,29 of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for each lamb. It is a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord. 14Their drink offerings are to be two quarts # 28:14 Lit a half hin of wine with each bull, one and a third quarts # 28:14 Lit bull, a third hin with the ram, and one quart # 28:14 Lit a fourth hin with each male lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering for all the months of the year. 15And one male goat is to be offered as a sin offering to the Lord, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.
Offerings for Passover
16“The Passover # 28:16–17 Ex 12:18; Lv 23:5–6; Ezk 45:21 to the Lord comes in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month. 17On the fifteenth day of this month there will be a festival; unleavened bread is to be eaten for seven days. 18On the first day there is to be a sacred assembly; you are not to do any daily work. # 28:18 Ex 12:16; Lv 23:3,7,28; Nm 29:7 19Present a food offering, a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old. Your animals are to be unblemished. # 28:19 Lv 22:20; Nm 29:8,13; Dt 15:21; 17:1 20The grain offering with them is to be of fine flour mixed with oil; offer six quarts with each bull and four quarts with the ram. 21Offer two quarts with each of the seven lambs 22and one male goat for a sin offering to make atonement for yourselves. 23Offer these with the morning burnt offering that is part of the regular burnt offering. 24You are to offer the same food each day for seven days as a food offering, # 28:24–25 Ex 12:16; 13:6; Lv 23:8 a pleasing aroma to the Lord. It is to be offered with its drink offering and the regular burnt offering. 25On the seventh day you are to hold a sacred assembly; you are not to do any daily work.
Offerings for the Festival of Weeks
26“On the day of firstfruits, you are to hold a sacred assembly when you present an offering of new grain to the Lord at your Festival of Weeks; # 28:26 Ex 23:16; 34:22; Lv 23:10,15; Dt 16:9–10; Ac 2:1 you are not to do any daily work. 27Present a burnt offering as a pleasing aroma to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, 28with their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, six quarts with each bull, four quarts with the ram, 29and two quarts with each of the seven lambs, 30and one male goat to make atonement for yourselves. 31Offer them with their drink offerings in addition to the regular burnt offering and its grain offering. Your animals are to be unblemished.

Various laws and sacrifices for Israel's festivals
Regular daily sacrifices
(Exodus 29.38-43; Leviticus 6.8-13)
1The LORD told Moses 2to say to the people of Israel:
Offer sacrifices to me at the appointed times of worship, so that I will smell the smoke and be pleased.
3Each day offer two rams a year old as sacrifices to please me.#28.3 sacrifices to please me: See the note at 6.11. The animals must have nothing wrong with them; 4one will be sacrificed in the morning, and the other in the evening. 5Along with each of them, one kilogramme of your finest flour mixed with a litre of olive oil must be offered as a grain sacrifice. 6This sacrifice to please me was first offered on Mount Sinai. 7Finally, along with each of these two sacrifices, a litre of wine must be poured on the altar as a drink offering. 8The second ram will be sacrificed that evening, along with the other offerings, just like the one sacrificed that morning. The smell of the smoke from these sacrifices will please me.
The sacrifice on the Sabbath
The LORD said:
9-10On the Sabbath, in addition to the regular daily sacrifices,#28.9,10 regular daily sacrifices: See 28.1-8. you must sacrifice two rams a year old to please me.#28.9,10 sacrifice…to please me: See the note at 6.11. These rams must have nothing wrong with them, and they will be sacrificed with a drink offering and two kilogrammes of your finest flour mixed with olive oil.
The sacrifices on the first day of the month
The LORD said:
11On the first day of each month, bring to the altar two bulls, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old that have nothing wrong with them. Then offer these as sacrifices to please me.#28.11 sacrifices to please me: See the note at 6.11. 12Three kilogrammes of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with each bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilogrammes of flour mixed with oil must be offered with the ram, 13and one kilogramme of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. The smell of the smoke from these sacrifices will please me.
14-15Offer two litres of wine as a drink offering with each bull, one and a half litres with the ram, and one litre with each of the young rams.
Finally, you must offer a goat#28.14,15 goat: See the note at 7.12-83. as a sacrifice for sin.
These sacrifices are to be offered on the first day of each month, in addition to the regular daily sacrifices.#28.14,15 regular daily sacrifices: See 28.1-8.
The sacrifices during Passover and the Festival of Thin Bread
(Leviticus 23.4-8)
The LORD said:
16Celebrate Passover in honour of me on the fourteenth day of the first month#28.16 first month: See the note at 9.3. of each year.#Ex 12.1-13; Dt 16.1,2. 17The following day will begin the Festival of Thin Bread, which will last for a week. During this time you must honour me by eating bread made without yeast.#Ex 12.14-20; 23.15; 34.18; Dt 16.3-8.
18On the first day of this festival, you must rest from your work and come together for worship. 19Bring to the altar two bulls, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old that have nothing wrong with them. And then offer these as sacrifices to please me.#28.19 sacrifices to please me: See the note at 6.11. 20Three kilogrammes of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with each bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilogrammes of flour mixed with oil must be offered with the ram, 21and one kilogramme of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. 22Also offer a goat#28.22 goat: See the note at 7.12-83. as a sacrifice for the sins of the people. 23-24All of these are to be offered in addition to the regular daily sacrifices,#28.23,24 regular daily sacrifices: See 28.1-8. and the smoke from them will please me. 25Then on the last day of the festival, you must once again rest from work and come together for worship.
The sacrifices during the Harvest Festival
(Leviticus 23.15-22)
The LORD said:
26On the first day of the Harvest Festival, you must rest from your work, come together for worship, and bring a sacrifice of new grain.#Ex 23.16; 34.22; Dt 16.9-12. 27Offer two young bulls, one full-grown ram, and seven rams a year old as sacrifices to please me.#28.27 sacrifices to please me: See the note at 6.11. 28Three kilogrammes of your finest flour mixed with olive oil must be offered with each bull as a grain sacrifice. Two kilogrammes of flour mixed with oil must be offered with the ram, 29and one kilogramme of flour mixed with oil must be offered with each of the young rams. 30Also offer a goat#28.30 goat: See the note at 7.12-83. as a sacrifice for sin. 31The animals must have nothing wrong with them and are to be sacrificed along with the regular daily sacrifices.#28.31 regular daily sacrifices: See 28.1-8.
