Matthew 16:2

Matthew writes to God’s people and walks them on a journey that will take them from where they are to be Disciple Makers. In Matthew 12, we see several instances where the Jewish leaders attempt to demonstrate their clout and demean Jesus. In response, we see Jesus demonstrating true leadership by serving and healing others and continuing to teach true values. This is the kind of leadership He wants to see in us. Humble, yet demonstrating quiet composure and strength with the confidence that God is always in control.
