1Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, # Ps 128:1
who delights greatly in His commandments. # Ps 119:16
2His descendants will be mighty on the earth; # Ps 25:13; 102:28
the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3Wealth and riches will be in his house, # Pr 3:16
and his righteousness endures forever. # Ps 111:3
4Unto the upright arises light in the darkness; # Job 11:17; Ps 97:11
he is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.
5It is well with the man who is gracious and lends;
he will guide his affairs with justice.
6For he will never be moved; # Ps 15:5
the righteous will be remembered forever. # Pr 10:7
7He will not be afraid of evil tidings; # Pr 1:33
his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. # Ps 57:7
8His heart is established; he will not be afraid, # Heb 13:9
until he looks in triumph on his enemies. # Ps 59:10
9He has given freely; he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever;
his horn will be exalted with honor. # Ps 75:10; 92:10
10The wicked will see it and be angry;
he will gnash his teeth and melt away; # Ps 37:12; 58:7–8
the desire of the wicked will perish.
