God is The Promise Keeper and the birth of Christ is the fulfillment of promises as foretold through prophecies of the Old Testament. The aim of this devotion is to encourage you in your faith as you study some of God’s promises which are a glimpse into the events related to the arrival of Jesus which we celebrate during Christmas.

1 Peter was written to early Christians scattered throughout Asia Minor. Peter called his beloved readers “elect exiles” because they were suffering for their faith and longing for their heavenly home. Desiring to encourage them to live victoriously while trusting the Lord, he identified three living things they had in their sojourning. You also have these things, Christian: a living hope, the living Word, and the living stone–Jesus Christ himself.

Many of us loved tracking our heights when we were children! Though we all desired to grow, many of us experienced physical pain as a result of our growth; these were known as growing pains. The book of Revelation is all about Jesus Christ—His salvation, His faithfulness, His judgment, His heaven, and His second coming. John shared Jesus's hope with us, so we can wait for His return in a celebration of joyful anticipation! Revelation shows us our Savior in His regal power so we can worship Him, trust Him, and love Him, obey him, and rest in Him.
