Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!” “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

We all know we should give, but our flesh doesn’t want to give. So in order to better live out a life of generosity in our lives, we need some inspiration from the Bible, and that is what this short plan on giving and generosity will do for you.
5 Days
One way to understand what God wants to do through us by the power of the Holy Spirit is to take a closer look at what He did through Jesus’ disciples by the power of the same Holy Spirit. Take Peter, for instance, the first apostle to speak up at Pentecost. His life is a case study for the kind of radical transformation the Holy Spirit brings about in people who put their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.
These five reflections from scripture through the prisms of Jesus, Paul, Solomon, and Wesley, plus the subject of debt, are not exhaustive and, for the sake of continuity, are selective. I am not trying to say everything, but I hope what you read will bring a biblically faithful perspective, if not the whole story.
Christians are different. They can’t help it. When you’re born again and filled with the Spirit, it changes you. This leads to different values about right and wrong, and a different lifestyle to match it. This series of 5-day plans uses the 10 Commandments (following the classic Augustinian ordering) as a vehicle for an alternative, Christ-like morality and Jesus-way of living.
