Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders * rejected, this has become the cornerstone. This was from the Lord, and it is wonderful in our eyes’? *

“For this purpose, I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who produce its fruits.
