He Shall Reign is a two week Advent study from New Life Church of Arkansas. Throughout this plan, we look at the anticipation of Christ's birth and how He came to establish His kingdom on earth. In the Gospel of Luke, we find a unique account of Jesus’ life. Luke shows us how much Jesus sees, knows, and cares for His people. He continually goes out of His way to help those in need and to seek the lost. This Gospel also shows us what it truly means to follow Jesus and what it may cost us when we do.

Parents want to pray for their children but may not always know how and for what. They might pray with wrong attitudes, hindering prayers and leading to disappointment and unbelief. This Reading Plan provides guidelines and Scripture on how to pray.

Our kind of Christmas isn’t working. The status quo of our holiday season pushes us into busyness, distraction, and exhaustion instead of the rest and relief that Jesus came to bring. This Plan redirects us to God’s kind of Christmas, where we slow down, catch our breath, read everything the gospels say about the birth of Jesus, and remember everything that is ours through faith in our Prince of peace.

The birth of Christ, His advent, marks God's ultimate plan for our redemption. In Christ, we see the fullest picture of God's hope, peace, joy and love. God's Word is the truth by which we know and walk with Him daily. It is our hope that this guide will encourage and facilitate personal time spent in the Word and provide a resource for families with children to do that together.

We will reflect on Scripture in both the Old and New Testaments that all point towards the coming of Christ. As we look at the story of Christ’s anticipated arrival over this Christmas season, our prayer at New Life Church is that you would remember that Jesus came to be the embodiment of God’s promises for salvation and redemption.
