Stories of the nativity are important, but the story of why Jesus came should involve so much more than a manger scene. John’s Gospel is a theologically intimate telling of the life and ministry of Jesus. John shows that Jesus is the preexistent Word who took on flesh to dwell among us. He is God's Son whose miraculous signs show evidence of His divinity. He is the Great “I Am” who has come to bring eternal life to all who believe.
