“Beyond The Waves” Jesus walking on water? What? Is this real? This is a story of trust and obedience. Peter has a collision with Jesus that he will never forget. Many times in our lives we are asked by Jesus to do something that looks hard to do. The question you need to ask yourself is, “Will I trust him?” If you are a follower of Jesus, there will be times in your life that He asks you to do something on His behalf. Odds are you’re not going to have to walk on water, but He may ask you to share Jesus with a friend at school or ask you to sit next to someone you don’t normally sit with at lunch. Will you be obedient and trust Jesus during those times? Peter doubted even in the midst of being obedient. Jesus wants us to trust him all of the time! Will you? Pray - Pray that you will learn to trust Jesus. - As you think about this story in God’s word, maybe you cannot think of something that you need to be obedient in for Jesus. Pray that he would reveal that to you.
