The prophet Zephaniah prophecies the end of the world. Soon, God will cover the earth in a purifying flame. God’s fire will burn all evil and proud people from the earth, but it will leave behind a cleansed world for the humble to inherit. Ultimately, the end of the world began when Jesus came to earth. In his life, he began to purge the world of its evil and pride. And through his humble death, Jesus made a way for the humble to inherit the earth.
