Ngài ngồi xuống, gọi mười hai sứ đồ và nói: “Nếu ai muốn làm đầu, thì phải làm cuối và làm đầy tớ cho mọi người.” Rồi Ngài đem một đứa trẻ đặt giữa các môn đồ; Ngài ẵm em bé trong tay và nói: “Người nào vì danh Ta tiếp một đứa trẻ như thế nầy tức là tiếp Ta; còn ai tiếp Ta, thì không phải tiếp Ta, nhưng tiếp Đấng đã sai Ta.”
