One of the famous superheroes was told, ‘With great power comes great responsibility.’ It's wise advice because it is too easy to forget the privileges we enjoy. Something to think about while you are reading today’s passage: Abram is shown the extent of the blessing God has in mind for him, and it can’t have always been easy to keep in mind that this wasn’t solely for his benefit. This blessing was intended to be outwardly focused, a blessing to be passed on to the wider world. Something to talk about with players of The Aetherlight: Players joining the Resistance will be reminded at different points that they are neither the hero of this movement, nor the benefactor. They are contributing to the restoration of Aethasia, answering the call of the Scarlet Man. It’s an important difference to other games - in the Resistance, players ‘level up’ to become more helpful, not more important. Talk with them about what it means to be blessed, and how the blessings we enjoy can be passed on.
