Lot is not a likeable character. He’s clearly been affected by his time in Sodom and seems reluctant to follow God’s leading even when it’s to save his life. Yet Ruth is one of his descendants - and so is Jesus. Something to think about while you are reading today’s passage: What does that say about God’s ability to redeem and include people, even when they are far from perfect? Something to talk about with players of The Aetherlight: Players participate in the rescue of Lloyd, but he doesn’t seem grateful. Why would the Resistance bother? Maybe it’s a chance to talk about God’s incredible grace, in that He includes us in His family too.
