Can you imagine having to rule the world? Having all of the power and authority over all things, but also having the responsibility over all mankind? The weight of that must have been immeasurable. In our day-to-day lives, we have to deal with a million little decisions that affect the people around us. Those decisions can feel overwhelming and only affect a select few people! But Christ came down to earth to guide all people towards life-saving truth. The choices and decisions He made would have had a ripple effect throughout Heaven and earth. Instead of coming in a blaze of fire or as a demanding conqueror, Christ chose to use His authority to show and embody grace and love. He would have been well within His rights to rule over us with an iron fist. But instead, Christ was a living embodiment of a new definition of power. This week, spend some quiet time with Jesus to thank Him for the leader that He is. You may even want to write down attributes of His leadership that you would want to use as an example in your own leadership. Keep these words with you as a daily reminder.
