How is your skill level? Have you, like a lot of leaders, neglected your own development to serve your company? Diligence is not only applying yourself to your duties with vigor; it is also ensuring you are advancing and growing. If you look after yourself, you will often have more to give others.

Do not neglect reading, learning, listening to wisdom, attending a seminar, or meeting together with likeminded businesspeople. Be diligent in your own growth and development and everyone around you will benefit. When that happens, you can present yourself to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed.

Invest in yourself, and you will see a return that will bless those around you.
