உலகின் ஒளியாகிய இயேசு, நம் மத்தியில் வசிப்பதற்க்காக, நம்மைப்போல மனிதனாக   அவதரித்த அந்த தருணம் தான் இவ்வுலகத்தின் மிக மிக முக்கியமான தருணம் ஆகும். அவரின்   வருகையை தேவதூதர்கள் அறிவித்தனர், கவிதைகள் எழுதப்பட்டன, மேய்ப்பர்கள்   அவரைக்காண விரைந்தனர், மரியாள் பாடினாள்! அவரின் ஒளி எப்படி   அவரோடிருந்தவர்களுக்கு ஊக்கம் கொடுத்தது என்பதையும், மற்றும் இன்று   நமக்கு எவ்வகையில் ஊக்கம் கொடுக்கிறது என்பதனை அனுபவித்து அறியும்படி, இந்த ஐந்து நாட்கள்   பயணத்தில் எங்களோடு இணைந்துகொள்ளுங்கள் 

சிறந்த காலங்களில் நம் உலகமானது உறுதி இல்லாத, தலைகீழானதாகத் தோன்றுகிறது. தேவ குமாரனாகிய இயேசு மட்டும் இல்லை என்றால், நமக்கு நம்பிக்கையே இருந்திருக்காது. ஒவ்வொரு கிறிஸ்து பிறப்புத் திருநாளும் - இம்மானுவேல் - தேவன் நம்முடன், என்னும் பரிசை நமக்கு நினைவுபடுத்துகிறது. நம்முடன் தேவன் இருக்கிறார் என்ற பரிசு தான் நமக்குத் தொடர்ந்து கொடுத்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. இப்போதில் இருந்து நித்திய காலம் வரை, நாம் ஒரு போதும் தனிமையாக இல்லை. இது கொண்டாடுவதற்கு ஏற்ற காரணம் தான்.
