சிறந்த காலங்களில் நம் உலகமானது உறுதி இல்லாத, தலைகீழானதாகத் தோன்றுகிறது. தேவ குமாரனாகிய இயேசு மட்டும் இல்லை என்றால், நமக்கு நம்பிக்கையே இருந்திருக்காது. ஒவ்வொரு கிறிஸ்து பிறப்புத் திருநாளும் - இம்மானுவேல் - தேவன் நம்முடன், என்னும் பரிசை நமக்கு நினைவுபடுத்துகிறது. நம்முடன் தேவன் இருக்கிறார் என்ற பரிசு தான் நமக்குத் தொடர்ந்து கொடுத்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. இப்போதில் இருந்து நித்திய காலம் வரை, நாம் ஒரு போதும் தனிமையாக இல்லை. இது கொண்டாடுவதற்கு ஏற்ற காரணம் தான்.
