Pray Without Ceasing 

Prayer is important because it brings victory, and most importantly, it connects you and God. 

In the initial days, I had to manage Jesus Calls ministry and Karunya University at the same time. I spent most of my time in checking all the documents and thought to myself that I was working for God. I was very happy and satisfied. But one day God spoke to me sternly saying, “Son, you are spending more time in the administration; so better spend more time in prayer too.” 

My friend, this is how sometimes you are also carried away thinking that you are serving God, therefore your job is well done. Definitely not! More than serving God, it is the relationship that you have with Him that matters. So when the Lord spoke to me, I started spending more time in prayer. And God wonderfully helped me to do all the administration work perfectly. God gave me the wisdom to complete 3 hours of work in just 30 minutes. Yes, Jesus himself teaches us to pray in the gospel of Matthew. Whenever He performed a miracle we read that He went to pray in solitude. Dearly beloved, take a stand this day to spend time in His presence before you start any work for the day. 

Prayer

“Loving Lord, I come before Your throne as a pleasing offering. Accept my prayers as a sweet aroma today. I commit myself to reconcile with You today and talk with You every day. Let Your Holy Spirit guide me and lead me accordingly. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
