The Kingdom comes first to rule over and heal our hearts, and then to affect all things outwardly. In other words, the Kingdom of God is not food or drink—outward things. Instead it is entirely that which is unseen, in the heart—righteousness, peace, and joy. And while those things are inward issues, they quickly become manifest outwardly. It’s hard to keep joy unseen. The prosperity of soul spoken of in 3 John 2 reveals how a healthy inward lifestyle affects our health, finances, and our overall well-being.
