ELIJAH IS HUNGRY

Remember Elijah? He had followed God’s instructions and told the king that there would be no rain for a long time. Can you remember why?

Even though there was no rain and the brook had dried up, God still took care of Elijah. He told him to go to a town called Zarephath and to live there.

Elijah went, and by the town gate he met a woman who was gathering wood for a fire.

Read today’s Bible reading, if you haven’t already done so.

Who in the story says: “Please could you bring me some bread and water?”

Who in the story says: “I only have a little flour and oil – just enough to make some bread for me and my son. That is all I have left.”

Elijah wanted the woman to make him some bread.
