Breaking LimitsSample

Living as a Generation of Perez
We come to the end of this journey, but in reality, we are not closing a story—we are understanding something much deeper: God did not only reveal Perez as a biblical character, but as a spiritual principle that transcends generations.
When the Bible presents the genealogy of Jesus, it includes names that, humanly speaking, we would not expect to see there. And among them is Perez. This is not a narrative detail; it is a theological and spiritual declaration: God builds His purpose through redeemed stories, not necessarily perfect stories.
This teaches us something essential: God does not only call individuals—He forms generations.
Perez is not just a son within a family; he is the beginning of a lineage that leads to the Messiah. This means that what was born in the midst of a complex story became part of an eternal story.
And here is where this plan reaches its final purpose: to understand that God does not only want you to know the story of Perez, but to live with his same spiritual nature.
Living as a generation of Perez does not mean living in chaos or confusion. It means living with the conviction that God can use your life to open paths where others see limitations.
It means understanding that your story is not an ending point, but a starting point.
Many people live as if their lives were simply the continuation of what others began before them. But Perez teaches us something different: you are not only continuity—you can also be interruption and new beginning.
To be a generation of Perez is to embrace a spiritual identity where you are not limited by what comes before you, but guided by what God is establishing through you.
This involves a deep transformation in three dimensions:
In your thoughts, you stop seeing yourself as a product of the past and begin to see yourself as an instrument of God’s purpose.
In your emotions, you stop carrying the identity of pain and begin to walk in the freedom of what God has healed.
In your will, you stop living in repetition and begin to walk in decisions aligned with God’s calling.
Perez teaches us that there are moments when God not only changes circumstances but completely transforms identity. He not only changes what you do, but who you are in Him.
And when you understand this, your life stops being reactive and becomes intentional.
Reflection Question
How does my way of living change when I understand that I can be part of a generation that opens paths in God?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for this time of transformation. Today, I understand that my life is not an accident, but purpose. I surrender myself completely to You as an instrument of Your will. Break every limitation in my mind, emotions, and will. Make me part of a generation that opens paths for Your glory. May my life reflect Your redemption and Your eternal purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
